Favourite part about your residency experience so far:
-
- The part of my palliative care residency that has stood out for me the most this year is the people I have been able to work and interact with. Being part of a team of like-minded individuals who display compassion, empathy and genuine interest towards each patient has made my learning experience truly memorable and enjoyable. I feel lucky to work and receive support from such an amazing group of residents and staff. I know I will be keeping in touch with our group long after this residency year has finished.
Favourite Song:
-
- It constantly changes, but right now it is “Strawberries” by Caamp
Favourite Activities:
-
- My favorite activities are skiing, hiking, camping and playing cards with friends.
Favourite Community Restaurant:
-
- My favorite restaurant near my apartment is AJ’s Brookyln Pizza Joint. It it’s the best pizza I’ve ever had and I highly recommend trying it if you haven’t!
A book or article you would recommend:
-
- I enjoy science fiction and fantasy novels, and recommend “The Three Body Problem” if you like either of those genres and haven’t read it yet.

Who is someone who inspires you?
-
- My mother has always been an inspiration to me, demonstrating how applying hard work and compassion to your job allows you to create positive outcomes for those around you and yourself. She also reminds me of the importance of balancing work and personal life, remembering to aside time for my own wellness.
What are you creating in the world right now?
-
- I am trying to create a positive environment for those I interact with, whether it be at work with patients, other healthcare providers and learners, or in my personal life with friends and family. Oh, and creating some fresh tracks on a backcountry ski day.
What are you most looking forward to in your career ahead?
-
- I am looking forward to pursuing a career I am truly passionate about, where I feel I can continue to learn, grow and use my skills to make a difference in patients’ lives.
