Resident Spotlight: Dr. Lucy Ni

By Kelsey Jay on June 26, 2023

Favourite part of your residency experience so far:

I have a wonderful cohort of five residents. We meet every other Wednesday on our academic day and we also have lots of fun socials together.

Favourite song:

The Street Where Wind Lives by pianist Yukiko Fanmura and erhu player Masao Sakashita.

Favourite past-time activity:

Reading.

Favourite restaurant:
Saku in Vancouver. I really enjoy the tonkatsu!

Dr. Lucy Ni and her dog, Maple.

A book or article you would recommend:

We Are All Perfectly Fine by Dr. Jillian Horton.

Who is someone that inspires you?

My mother inspires me continuously to better myself. She is intelligent, dedicated, selfless and is always the most witty person in the room.

What are you creating in the world right now?

I hope to create an inclusive health care environment that celebrates diversities.

What are you most looking forward to in your career ahead?

I am looking forward to providing more palliative care education for patients and health care professionals!
