1. 1 position at Kelowna General Hospital – which would involve working with another Palliative physician and a hospital based palliative team including a social worker and a nurse doing acute palliative consults in the hospital.  This also includes coverage of the designated palliative beds at KGH. 
2. There is also a sessional contract supporting a 24 bed hospice facility in Kelowna – within the COK Hospice, we are moving towards a MRP model of care and need more clinicians to be involved with these contracts.  This sessional contract would be ideal for someone that does not wish to work full time or wants to have a family medicine practice on top of doing palliative care related work.
3. We also have funding to set up an outpatient community based palliative pain and symptom management clinic – but to achieve this goal, we do need more physicians involved.  Someone who is interested in administration and program building would be ideal for this position.
