“As fortunate as I feel for this honour and the recognition in brings to the many who give so much to palliative care in our province, I feel equally grateful for my 34 years in the field; both in the opportunities afforded by being part of an evolving discipline and the privilege of working with countless patients and families over the years. I know our discipline will face many new challenges in its fourth decade, but am equally confident that Palliative Care will remain compassionate, effective and ever more accessible, in the hands of my cherished colleagues.”
